Synopsis
The movie Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is directed by #OmRaut and stars #AjayDevgn, #Kajol, #SaifAliKhan, and #SharadKelkar in titular roles. The movie traces the journey of one of the bravest and fiercest Marathas, #SubhedarTanajiMalusare right from his childhood till the historic battle of #Kondhana (later renamed as #Sinhgad). The Mughal Emperor #Aurangzeb devises a treacherous plan to spite ShivajiRaje by capturing the Kondhana fort. He sends a ruthless and cunning #UdayBhanSingh on this mission.

Direction
The direction by #OmRaut is top-notch. His direction excels in action and emotional scenes too. You feel proud to witness the historic battle on the large screen in 3D. In fact, the 3D effects of this movie are one of the finest seen in present times. He keeps a perfect blend of all emotions. He is a talent to look out for.
Technical Department
The screenplay is fantastic and the presentation is surreal. You get goosebumps in several scenes, especially the battle scenes. The visuals are stunning and show the Maratha grandeur in full light. The cinematography by #KeikoNakahara is fabulous. The frames and action scenes are well captured. Editing by #DharmendraSharma is good and sharp. Music is average; however, the background music takes the film to another level. You feel stirred within whenever the Tanana song plays in the background. The costume design and art direction are apt.
Performances
#AjayDevgn has proved yet again why he is called the “Singham” of the film industry. He has given a fantastic performance. #SaifAliKhan’s UdayBhan has proved to be an ideal foe to the Tanaji of Ajay Devgn. Saif has nailed his role to perfection. Frankly speaking, #Kajol did not have much to offer. #SharadKelkar as Raje was impressive. #NehaSharma did a decent job.
WMR Verdict
Tanhaji has all the elements of a blockbuster. Go with your family and enjoy this 3D spectacle on the big screen. It’s a must-watch film.
