Although Krack is a typical intense cop commercial entertainer what mattered was how the director, Gopichand Malineni, presented the story. He tactfully used entertaining ways by subverting the clichés surrounding such types of stories which is a pretty difficult task, especially for a ‘commercial’ film.
Krack has some excellent visuals (courtesy G. K. Vishnu), many seetimaar (whistle worthy) moments, splendid scenes in slow motion and superb elevations backed by a brilliant background score by S.S. Thaman. The fight sequences, foot-thumping songs, and beautiful choreography turn this film into a gratifying watch. The intent to make this film a hit is clearly visible. The ‘interval bang’ is just the best moment in the film.
Ravi Teja is back doing something he is best at!! In his previous films, something always seemed missing collectively; however, in this case, the director utilized him very well. Samuthirakani is simply fantastic. He brings intense charm to his role. I liked the way in which the director dealt with Shruti Hassan’s character. She brings certain calmness that is needed to complement the film’s intensity. Rest of the characters also did a decent job. Although there are some drawbacks in the film; those drawbacks don’t hinder the entertainment quotient of the film.
WMR Verdict
As one of the song titles suggest, this film is surely a Mass Biryani film! Krack is a pakka (confirmed) commercial entertainer needed for Sankranthi this year. It has blockbuster written all over it.
